Message from Mrs. McLaggan:
Welcome back to the Music Room! This week I'd love for you to head back to the laptop sitting under the piano for a revisit with Chrome Music Lab. This time, click on the Kadinsky section where you can draw different shapes and pictures and then hear your artwork come to life! Try clicking on the colour options to hear different instrumentation. Next, see if you can keep a steady beat to your creation by grabbing two wooden spoons, tapping a table, clapping your hands, or tapping on your knees. When you're ready for some entertainment, click on the tv up on the corner of the shelf for an episode of "Lomax the Hound". It is so cute and will get you singing along in minutes! If you're feeling blue, click on the rainbow in the window and listen to one of my favourite songs, "Rainbow" by Kacey Musgraves. That song always makes me feel better on gloomy days. Try to learn the lyrics so you can sing it all by yourself! Hope to see you soon! You use torn paper for the snowman head, then black paper and orange paper and scissors for the eyes, nose, mouth. Use a white crayon to draw the snowflakes. Have fun! Message from Mrs. McLaggan: Hello and welcome back to the Music Room! You will notice a few new things have popped up! There seems to be a beluga whale inside of my piano! Click on it to hear me do a read-aloud and song for the story, "Baby Beluga". If you're looking for an app to try, click on my iphone I'm holding in my hand! That will take you to "Rhythm Cat". It's super fun and the lite version is free. You'll need to be ready to read and tap some rhythms! There is also a nintendo switch lying on the floor! Click on that to try creating your own video game-style music with Beep Box. Lots of fun things happening in the music room this week! Enjoy and please let me know if you have any questions. Stay cozy! -Mrs. McLaggan https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1EO2N5egNPylrnjvyYRoyhxhLh2mwVJlzcbvRhfzX1HU/edit?usp=sharing virtual music classroom
